Everything owners ask us.
How Order Central, Divine POS and Divine Mobile work — from the till and the kitchen to payments, payroll and switching over.
Order Central
What is Order Central?
Order Central is one system for the whole restaurant: Divine POS at the counter, on the tables and in the kitchen; your own website and QR ordering; an AI agent that answers the phone and takes orders; Uber Eats; payments and settlements; schedules, tips and payroll; and Divine Mobile for owners and staff. Everything is set up from one Admin on the web.
What is the difference between Order Central, Divine POS and Divine Mobile?
Order Central is the system and the Admin on the web, where the menu, the money, the team and every location are set up. Divine POS is the till app on Android tablets — counter, tables and kitchen screens. Divine Mobile is the phone app: owners see every location live; staff see their week, clock in and check their tips.
Is it for one restaurant or for groups?
Both. A single location runs everything from one Admin. A group clones a menu to each new location and changes only what is different; each location keeps its own hours, taxes, tipping and payment settings, and managers see only the stores they run.
How much does Order Central cost?
We quote each restaurant on its own: the number of locations, the hardware and the card processing. Tell us about your restaurant and we reply within one business day.
How do we switch from our current POS?
Moving over is our job. We bring your menu over with photos, sizes and add-ons, set up the tablets, terminals, printers and kitchen screens, and train your team on the real screens before your first service.
Divine POS
What does Divine POS run on?
Android tablets — Elo tablets are supported — with Dejavoo card terminals, receipt and kitchen printers and cash drawers. The same tablets can be kitchen screens.
Does Divine POS work when the internet is down?
Yes. Orders are kept on the tablet and sent on their own when the connection is back, and cards can be typed in, held encrypted and charged when it returns. You set the limits — per card, per day, how many can wait and for how long — and offline cards stay off until you turn them on.
Can one system do counter service and table service?
Yes. Each till is set to counter service or table service. Table service splits checks by seat or evenly, keeps bar tabs with the card held, and fires courses when the table is ready.
How do new staff learn it?
Divine POS has a training mode: new staff practise on the real screens and nothing they do counts.
Kitchen
Printers or kitchen screens?
Either, or both. Each category of the menu goes to the station that makes it — a printer, a kitchen screen, or both — and an expo screen can get the whole order.
Can the kitchen see how long a ticket has waited?
Every ticket on a kitchen screen is timed and turns amber, then red. Busy mode adds the minutes you choose to ready times when the line is out the door.
Do delivery and phone orders reach the kitchen too?
Yes. Counter, website, QR, AI phone and Uber Eats orders all land on the same board and print at the same stations.
Online ordering & QR
Do guests order on our own website?
Yes — your own ordering site, with your menu and photos: pickup now or later, delivery with your own drivers, and QR ordering at the table. Orders land on the till and in the kitchen like any other.
Can we deliver with our own drivers?
Yes. Delivery is priced by distance with a fee per mile, it is marked delivered from the till, and the guest gets a text when it is out for delivery and when it arrives.
Is the online menu the same as the one on the till?
Yes. The till, the website, the QR codes and the AI phone agent read the same menu, so a price changes once.
AI phone
What does the AI phone agent do?
It answers your restaurant’s number with your greeting, knows your menu and your prices, and takes the order. The order lands on the till and in the kitchen like any other.
Can we keep our phone number?
Yes. We set up a number for you, or bring your existing one over.
Can we turn it off?
Yes — one switch in the Admin turns the agent on or off. You also choose its name, its voice, the greeting and any house rules.
Uber Eats & delivery
How does Uber Eats connect?
In five steps from the Admin: connect your Uber Eats account, pick the store, bring the menu over, set hours and prep time, go live. Uber orders then arrive on your tills and print in the kitchen.
Can we pause Uber Eats when the kitchen is slammed?
Yes. Pause the store or change the prep time from Order Central.
What about DoorDash and Grubhub?
They are coming soon, and will work the same way.
Payments
Which card terminals do you use?
Dejavoo terminals: tap, chip or swipe. The guest adds the tip and signs on the terminal, and the total settles in one step.
Can a guest pay part of a check, or split it?
Yes. Pay part on one card and the rest another way, or split a check evenly. Refunds, voids and tip adjusts are done from the till.
How do we know the card money arrived?
Card batches close on their own every day, and every batch sits in one list. If card money has not settled after 26 hours, you are told, with the amount.
Can guests pay by link?
Yes. A pay-by-link goes by text for phone and catering orders, and receipts by text carry a link to add a tip or pay.
Team & payroll
How do staff clock in?
With their PIN on the till, or on their phone in Divine Mobile. Paid breaks and meal breaks are recorded, and timecards are reviewed and approved.
How are tips shared?
Tip pools follow the rule you choose — by hours, by points, by role or evenly — with tip-outs and auto-gratuity. Cash tips are declared at clock-out.
Which payroll providers do you work with?
Payroll runs export a file for ADP, Gusto or QuickBooks, or a CSV for anything else.
Divine Mobile
Who is Divine Mobile for?
Owners and staff. One phone app: owners watch the business, staff run their week.
What do owners see?
Sales across every location, live; orders and transactions; the daily summary, e-mailed; approvals for time off and swaps; staff, schedules, tips and payroll.
What do staff see?
Their week and who is on, the time clock with breaks, their tips and earnings, and a way to ask for cover or pick up a shift.
Tables & reservations
Can guests book a table online?
Yes. Guests book on your website, and the host sees tonight’s list at the host stand and seats them.
Does the host see which tables are free?
The floor plan shows every table’s state, from open to seated to waiting on food.
Rewards & guests
How do rewards work?
Guests earn points on every order and redeem them for rewards you choose. A rewards member can be looked up at the till.
Do guests have one profile?
Yes — one profile per guest across the website, the phone and the till, with saved addresses and cards for a faster checkout.
Restaurant groups
How do we open a new location?
Clone a menu to the new location and change what is different. The location gets its own hours, holidays, taxes, tipping and payment settings.
Can managers see only their own stores?
Yes. Roles and permissions are set by location, and the dashboard shows one location or all of them.
Hardware & setup
What hardware do we need?
Android tablets for the tills and kitchen screens, Dejavoo card terminals, receipt and kitchen printers, and cash drawers.
How long does a new till take to set up?
Minutes: enter the store code, set up each person’s PIN, start selling. Elo tablets can be restarted and managed remotely.
Privacy & security
How is our data handled?
Our privacy policy explains what we collect, how it is used and stored, and your rights. The owner app has its own privacy policy.
Are cards typed in offline stored safely?
A card typed in while the till is offline is held encrypted on the tablet until the connection returns and it is charged, within the limits you set.
